ニューヨークの日本商工会議所、東京の日本経団連、環境庁、日本経済新聞等と一緒にサステナビリティを テーマにしたセミナーを開催し講師として講演。BS ジャパンの経済番組「ネクストステージ」 や TBS ラジオ「下村健一の目のつけどころ」に出演し 企業の社会責任（CSR） について解説。国土交通省の関東地方整備局の広報コンテストの審査員として参加。日本生産性本部と共催で、日本の企業を対 象に CSR をテーマにしたスタディツアーを米国にて開催。オリンパス、世界銀行、国連による アフリカをテーマにした写真展 A Day in a Life of Africa を東京都写真美術館にて総合プロデュ ース。企業倫理マネジメントシステム ECS2000 (コンプライアンスのための規格）を専門家たちと共同開発し、200 社を超える企業が使用。企業の社会責任度の格付け組織CEP、労働環境国際規格SA8000を認定するSAIの調査担当。米国テレビ局CBS長野冬季オリンピック番組制作の調査担当なども行った。

She has organized and spoken at seminars on sustainability in collaboration with organizations including the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of New York, Keidanren (Japan Business Federation), Japan’s Environment Agency, and Nikkei.

She has also appeared on business and radio programs, including BS Japan’s Next Stage and TBS Radio’s Shimomura Kenichi no Me no Tsukedokoro, where she provided commentary on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). She served as a judge for a public relations competition organized by the Kanto Regional Development Bureau of Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

In partnership with the Japan Productivity Center, she organized a U.S.-based CSR study tour for Japanese companies. She also served as overall producer of A Day in the Life of Africa, a photography exhibition presented at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography in collaboration with Olympus, the World Bank, and the United Nations.

Saito was involved in the development of ECS2000, an ethics and compliance management system created in collaboration with a group of specialists and adopted by more than 200 companies. She also conducted research for CEP, an organization evaluating corporate social responsibility, and Social Accountability International (SAI), the organization associated with the international workplace standard SA8000.

Her international media work has also included research for CBS’s coverage of the Nagano Winter Olympics in the United States.

NTT コミュニケーションズ、NTT 東日本、セブン&アイ、イトーヨーカドー、ブラザー、オリンパス、日清紡、野村不動産、日本ユニシス、ブリヂストン、NEC システムテクノロジー、電通、中外製薬、米国マツダ、ソライズなど多数の日本企業の経営課題のコンサルティング、社内研修、セミナー、社会監査や社⻑対談を行なってきた。

She has advised numerous Japanese companies on management and organizational challenges, while also providing corporate training, seminars, social audits, and executive-level dialogues and interviews. Her clients have included NTT Communications, NTT East, Seven & i Holdings, Ito-Yokado, Brother Industries, Olympus, Nisshinbo, Nomura Real Estate, Nihon Unisys, Bridgestone, NEC System Technologies, Dentsu, Chugai Pharmaceutical, Mazda North America, SOLIZE, and others.

東京のロータリークラブにてSDGs（男子力を上げるとどうなる？）、ギフト・エコノミー、米国不動産についての卓話シリーズ。毎日新聞と共催で小中学生のための環境学習ツアーをカリフォルニアで開催。目黑区環境審議会専門委員会委員、東京大学大学院発 NPO「人間の安全保障フォーラム」の理事、デイビッド・ロックフェラーJr の海洋環境保護 NPO Sailors for the Sea Japan の理事。(株)Earth Sector共同設立し日本初のクレジットカード決裁オンライン寄付サイト「ガンバNPO」発足。電通「古本市の会」の創設。フィリピン・スラム街ブタ農場のためのファンドレイジング活動。

She has given a series of talks at Rotary Clubs in Tokyo on topics including the SDGs, the Gift Economy, and U.S. real estate. In collaboration with The Mainichi, she also organized environmental education tours in California for elementary and junior high school students.

Her public and nonprofit roles have included serving as a member of the Meguro City Environmental Advisory Committee, a board member of the Human Security Forum, an NPO originating from the University of Tokyo, and a board member of Sailors for the Sea Japan, the marine conservation organization founded by David Rockefeller Jr.

She co-founded Earth Sector Inc. and helped launch Ganba NPO, Japan’s first online donation platform enabling nonprofit organizations to receive donations by credit card. She also founded Dentsu’s Used Book Fair initiative, with proceeds supporting charitable causes.

Her other social-impact activities have included fundraising for a pig-farming project in a slum community in the Philippines.

著書「社会起業家(岩波新書)」は北海道大学、⻑崎大学、専修大学などをはじめ多数の大学の入 試試験(特に経済・商学部の論文)として使われ、その後は学研、ベネッセを始めとした「赤本」などの大学入試問題集として 2 次利用されている。また、NIRA(総合研究開発機構)の「これからの 10 年を考えるための 100 冊の本」に選ばれた。

Her book Social Entrepreneurs (Shakai Kigyōka, Iwanami Shinsho) has been used as source material for university entrance examinations at numerous institutions, including Hokkaido University, Nagasaki University, and Senshu University, particularly for essay-based examinations in economics and business-related faculties.

Excerpts and related questions from the book have also been reproduced in university entrance examination preparation materials published by companies including Gakken and Benesse.

The book was also selected by NIRA (National Institute for Research Advancement) as one of its “100 Books for Thinking About the Next Ten Years.”
